Vivera

Founded by Antonino and Armida Vivera; Contrada Martinella sits at the mouth of Valle Galfina on Etna’s northeast shoulder — the precise point where the north and east slopes diverge, a district that has been an important thoroughfare between upper and lower mountain since the Middle Ages. A modern gravity-operated winery with gentle practices complements fruit from the sunny intersection of rocky north slope and fertile eastern flank; winemaker Loredana Vivera now leads the estate.
