Founded by Maria Gambino and Vittorio Raciti, who grew up on Etna’s eastern flank; in 1979 they built on land in Contrada Petto Dragone — meaning ‘the breast of the dragon’ — in the hills above Linguaglossa, planting a small vineyard that Vittorio expanded terrace by terrace as demand grew. In 2000, children Maria Grazia, Delfo, and Francesco joined the company. From the estate overlooks northeast Sicily, the mountains, Calabria, and the sea.
