About

Estate once possessed by the Lanza barons, who as legend has it once possessed the tip of the spear that pierced the side of Jesus Christ as he was crucified. Original villa and cellar built in 1858 in Contrada Pietramarina, one of Etna’s oldest viticultural areas on the north slope. Today, Gaetano Arrigo’s farm consists of a single vineyard of Nerello Mascalese surrounded by olive and fruit orchards. Biodiversity and additional hours of sunlight at the site make the Arrigo Nerello worth finding. Look for the simple brown label.
