Founded by Rosario Puglia in Contrada Arrigo, where early pioneers once cut timber for homes, wine presses, vineyard posts, and ship builders along the Ionian coastline. Over subsequent centuries the forest receded as lava flows exposed the terrain, and Puglia recognized the potential of the east-facing property and replaced trees and brambles with vines. Seven years after purchasing, farm and winery were reorganized for modern practices producing quality wines from Sicilian and international grapes.
