About
Founded 2004 by Alberto Aiello Graci, drawn to the mountain by curiosity and family winemaking history. Bought a vineyard and palmento in 2004; the two original properties are across the street (SP7iii) from one another but in two different contrade — Arcuria and Feudo di Mezzo respectively. Vineyards in Contrade Feudo di Mezzo, Barbabecchi, and Moganazzi followed. The cantina is one of Etna’s largest and historically significant palmenti; wines are basket-pressed and fermented in conical wood vats or concrete. The highest vineyard opens to a vista of the Alcantara Valley. 25 hectares across four contrade: Arcuria, Feudo di Mezzo, Muganazzi, and Barbabecchi. Vine training: alberello and cordon. Produces 80,000 bottles annually. Visits by request: vineyard tour, winery tour, palmento tour, wine tasting, lunch, dinner. Small (<15) and large (15+) groups. Wi-Fi, family and pet friendly. Languages: Italian, English. Wines to try: Arcuria Etna Bianco, Arcuria Etna Rosso, Etna Rosso, Quota 1000 Barbabecchi Nerello blend.
