Federico Curtaz has made wine on Mount Etna since 2007, when he helped launch Tenuta di Fessina in Rovittello. Since 2015 he has consulted for several producers on Etna. New wines under his own name draw from his extensive knowledge of Mount Etna and Southeastern Sicily.
