About

Founded 2005 by the Cianci family. Shortly after founding, purchased a plot of alberelli in Contrada Feudo di Mezzo and planted thousands of Nerello vines. Father and daughter team Antonio and Paola Cianci also farm a Carricante vineyard in Contrada Salice, below the main square of Milo. The Salice vineyard features young alberelli planted without irrigation in weathered volcanic sand brindled with lapilli and ripiddu — deposits from the landslide that created the Valle dell Bove. All vineyards are dry farmed. After years of experimentation, the family began bottling wines based on vine age and contrada of origin. 4 hectares across Contrade Feudo di Mezzo and Salice; vine training: alberello. Produces 17,000 bottles annually. No visit services offered. Wines to try: Aitna Etna Bianco, Aitna Etna Rosso, Vigna Nica Etna Rosso.
