About

Founded 2010 by Kevin Harvey, a California-based winemaker. Harvey’s focus on Mount Etna began after a 2001 tasting of Benanti’s Pietra Marina Carricante. He purchased a vineyard in the hills above Milo on the volcano’s eastern slope, dedicated exclusively to Carricante. A second vineyard in Montelaguardia, on the volcano’s north slope, is dedicated to three biotypes of Nerello Mascalese. Recent vintages have focused on restoring old vines, new plantings, and viticultural study. Harvey also planted a vineyard at Centennial Mountain, California, with cuttings of Carricante and Nerello. 5 hectares; vine training: alberello. Produces Etna Bianco Superiore and Etna Rosso. Visits by request only. Wine to try: Etna Bianco Superiore.
