Founded 2002. Riccardo Nibali and business partner Orazio Pometti. Families have worked their vineyard in Contrada Feudo di Mezzo for sixty years. Flagship wine Vinazzu is a Nerello that undergoes appassimento on the vine, reaching 16% alcohol or more with a healthy quantity of residual sugar; made only in the best years. All work done entirely by hand — giving intimate knowledge of vine health, ripening pace, and aging in the winery each year. Palmento restoration planned once new vineyard plantings in Contrada Moganazzi begin producing. 4 hectares across two contrade: Feudo di Mezzo and Moganazzi. Vine training: alberello and cordon. Produces 10,000 bottles annually. Visits by request: vineyard tour, winery tour, wine tasting, lunch. Small (<15) and large (15+) groups. Family and pet friendly. Languages: Italian, English.
