The Costantino family began working in Contrada Blandano in the 1970s; wine has been made on the site dating back to the seventeenth century, with early production carried out entirely in the palmento and wine sold by the liter from the cellar door — a portion of production is still sold this way. Nerello, Carricante, and indigenous Sicilian varieties are grown maritato — black and white grapes side by side — using certified organic practices. Fabio Costantino leads the estate today.
