Founded 1863. The Mannino family was among the earliest producers to receive international acclaim for bottled wines, dating to the 1870s. Three family estates have navigated shifts in political and economic conditions and the evolution of the Etna DOC. Giuseppe Mannino served as president of the Etna DOC for more than a decade. Portfolio includes two white wines from Carricante, three red wines from Nerello including an occasional Etna Riserva, and a vintage Etna Spumante from Nerello. The family also operates a 160-acre (65 ha) citrus and olive farm producing oil and marmalades. Also: +39 348-260-6259. 9 hectares across three contrade: Pietramarina, Bragaseggi, and Le Sciarelle.
