Founded by Giacinto and Pina Romeo; when the original property was purchased in 2004, the surnames Romeo and Leone were found on the keystone over the door of the palmento. In 2006 they began developing the property with terraces planted to Catarratto, Carricante, and Nerello Mascalese; Giacinto and Pina’s son Salvo helps manage the estate today. The property features views of the eastern flank of the volcano and the Ionian Sea.
