Founded by Paolo Caciorgna, who acquired prephylloxera vines in the embrace of the 1646 lava flow in Contrada Marchesa in a handshake deal; after more than 150 years, the heavy trunks and contorted alberelli arms have found smart, casual postures. NAnticchia is an elegant and commanding Etna Rosso from these vines. Paolo has also made wine in Tuscany for decades and as a consultant for internationally celebrated wine projects.
