Etna project founded 2008. Began in Contrada Sciara Nuova high above Passopisciaro at about 800 meters AMSL, where the winery and cultural center are located. Winemaker Patricia Toth led development, originally inspired by Carricante before turning to Nerello. Since 2008 expanded to plant in three other contrade on the north flank. Every harvest requires maniacal three-stage selection: in the vineyard, during harvest, and again when grapes arrive at the winery. A small corner of the property is dedicated to experimental varieties: Riesling, Pinot Nero, and Furmint. 28 hectares across four contrade: Pietramarina, Rampante, Sciara Nuova, and Taccone. Vine training: alberello, Guyot, and cordon. Produces 187,000 bottles annually. Visits by request: vineyard tour, winery tour, palmento tour, wine tasting, lunch, dinner.
