About
Founded 1994 by the Di Miceli family. The winery and cooperative formerly known as Torrepalino was so revered that — even after closing at the end of the 1980s — its signs still stand along SS120. Patria keeps the old signs up. An exposed wall in the cellar reveals two lava flows meeting, one over the top of the other. Beyond own vineyards, buys grapes from local farmers; produces wines from both international and indigenous Sicilian varieties grown on Etna and around Corleone. Makes tanks, aging rooms, and bottling line available to new producers getting started. Bernardo Di Miceli leads the estate. 30 hectares across three contrade: Moganazzi, Zottorinoto, and Allegracuore. Vine training: alberello and cordon. Produces 100,000 bottles annually. Visits by request: vineyard tour, winery tour, wine tasting, lunch, dinner. Small (<15) and large (15+) groups. Event space, Wi-Fi, family and pet friendly. Languages: Italian, English. Wines to try: Etna Bianco, Palici Etna Spumante, Etna Rosso Riserva, Allegracuore Vino Nobile Riserva Speciale.
