About

Originally founded by Mauro Cutuli’s grandfather in 1977; made wine until 1995. Relaunched in 2017 by Mauro Cutuli, who returned after years in finance and working as a sommelier. The Monte Ilice vineyard features old alberelli among fruit, nut, and olive trees in volcanic sand with no terraces — vines and plants are the only anchors on the slope. An old cableway that once carried tools, water, and grapes is no longer operational; all work is done by hand. The estate also produces olive oil from local Nocellara Etnea and a selection of honeys. Also: +39 380-302-2789. 2.5 hectares across three contrade: Monte Ilice, Monte Gorna, and Carpene. Vine training: alberello. Produces 4,200 bottles annually.
