About

Founded 2008 by Michela Fischetti, with wine consultant Andrea Marletta. Located in Contrada Moscamento. The ancient palmento torchio and orbis have been carefully restored; the palmento table is now used for dining and tastings. When Michela found the property, everything was growing but in poor shape; the goal has been to preserve what was there and make wines true to the place. Approach follows the rhythms of the farm vintage by vintage. The debut 2011 Muscamento Etna Rosso was a classic vintage; 2012 produced a stronger, riper wine; 2013 was cool and rainy, yielding a pale, lighter style. 2 hectares in Contrada Moscamento; vine training: alberello. Produces 5,000 bottles annually. Visits seven days a week: vineyard tour, winery tour, palmento tour, wine tasting. Small (<15) and large (15+) groups. Event space, family and pet friendly. Languages: Italian, English. Wines to try: Muscamento Etna Bianco, Muscamento Etna Rosato, Muscamento Etna Rosso.
