Prephylloxera Carricante grown by the Patane-Di Maio family in Contrada Rinazzo, comune of Milo, on an outcropping directly below the Valle del Bove. For years their grapes found their way into some of the most celebrated Etna Bianco Superiores ever produced. From the 2018 vintage, the family changed course to produce their own Etna Bianco Superiore called Affiu (Alfio), from the grapes they have grown for generations.
