Carranco is a young project, launched in 2018 as a partnership between Barolo’s Borgogno family and Sicily’s Tornatore, built around 8 hectares in the historic Contrada Carranco on Etna’s north side. The wines lean on tradition — alberello vines, basalt soils, cement-vat fermentation — to let the cru’s volcanic character speak for itself.
