Giuseppe Campione produces an Etna Rosso from a small vineyard in Contrada Crasa, one of the most coveted areas of the north slope in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia. Old alberelli vines worked by the family for more than a century, for their own wine and others. Single-vineyard ruby Nerello Mascalese named Sua Maesta, meaning “Her Majesty” — a reference to Mount Etna and the generations who have dedicated their lives to working in her vineyards.
