Founded 2015 by Giovanni Ferlito, Aurelio Marconi, and Gianluca Strano. Purchased an old alberello vineyard on top of the spent crater Monte Rosso on Etna’s southeast flank. Monte Rosso (Red Mountain) is named for the oxidized iron in the volcanic soil. The vineyard has undergone an official vine audit to catalog variety composition and performance. 1.5 hectares in Contrada Monte Rosso; vine training: alberello. Produces 8,000 bottles annually. Portfolio includes Etna Bianco, Etna Rosso, IGT/IGP Terre Siciliane, and DOC/DOP Sicilia wines. Visits by request: vineyard tour, wine tasting. Small groups (<15). Family and pet friendly. Languages: Italian, English. Wines to try: Crater Etna Bianco, Sisma Nerello Mascalese, Volcano Etna Rosato.
