The Fisauli family has held the villa, winery, and estate in Contrada Rustica on the north side of the Alcantara River since the sixteenth century; in the 1960s, Nerello vineyard was planted and trained in tendone on alluvial sandy soils. The farm is home to a collection of outdoor palmenti rupestri (stone winemaking sites) and ancient ruins adorned by olive groves with a breathtaking view of Mount Etna.
