Founded by Michele Faro, whose grandfather hung edera (green ivy) outside the house to signal new wine was ready, selling one to twenty liters at a time to friends and family; Michele founded the estate to reconnect with that part of the family story. On Etna, Michele is a hunter, restorer, and promoter of old and abandoned vineyards — predominantly alberelli, with old vines allowed to produce at their own pace. The new cellar in Solicchiata uses stainless steel, concrete vats, and French oak botti.
