Nicola Gumina purchased the old vineyard west of Linguaglossa and Monte Santo in Contrada Piano Filici in the nineties; the alberelli became too much to handle alone and grape quality began to suffer, leading to a difficult decision to replant thousands of vines. Others saw the work and hired him as a consultant. Today the family farm and consultancy are managed together with his son Marco.
