Founded by Giovanni Valenti, who converted an old palmento and distillery into a modern winery and tasting room across the road from the Circumetnea train station in Passopisciaro. At the end of the nineteenth century the neighborhood west of la colonna was a gathering place for farmers, merchants, and travelers. The company is now guided by Laura La Mantia and continues to move toward noninvasive treatments in both vines and cantina.
