About
Founded 1865 by Giuseppe Tornatore, who converted two hectares into a functioning winery above Linguaglossa. Shortly after, two more hectares were added around Contrada Filici. Today reimagined as one of the largest wine estates on the mountain, farming four contrade in the comune of Castiglione di Sicilia. Nearly every vine on the 60-hectare property has been restored or planted on drought-resistant rootstock, trained in cordon along tension wires fixed to fiberglass posts. Winemaker Angelo di Grazia uses concrete and stainless steel vats with modern technology, plus wood botti and tonneaux for refinement. Bottling on site.
