Founded 1999 by Ciro Biondi and his wife and partner Stephanie. The family had made wine for centuries, with much sold in bulk. In 1999 Ciro and Stephanie began clearing and replanting the family vineyards in Contrada Ronzini. Over the following decade the project underwent tough vintages and changing enologists while continuing vineyard revitalization. The family vineyard Chianta was planted in 1860, maintained with terraces and vines trained against vertical chestnut stakes. 7 hectares in Contrada Ronzini; vine training: alberello. Produces 27,000 bottles annually. Visits seven days a week: vineyard tour, winery tour, wine tasting, lunch. Small groups (<15). Wi-Fi, family and pet friendly. Languages: Italian, English. Wines to try: Pianta Etna Bianco, Cisterna Fuori Etna Rosso, San Nicolo Etna Rosso.
