Founded 2008. Federico Graziani attended his first wine class at age fifteen, became a professional sommelier, and was named Italy’s sommelier of the year by the Italian Association of Sommeliers in 1998. He then earned a degree in Enology and Viticulture from the University of Milan. Chose Mount Etna’s north slope for his estate. Vineyard management and some winemaking assisted by Salvo Foti. Harvests early, relying on volcanic terroir, natural tannins, and acidity; wines age in neutral oak barrels. Profumo di Vulcano is a red blend of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante, and Francisi. Additional vineyards purchased to produce a white blend and a basic Etna Rosso. 4.5 hectares across four contrade: Feudo di Mezzo, Moganazzi, Montelaguardia, and Nave. Vine training: alberello and cordon. Produces 12,500 bottles annually. Visits by request: vineyard tour, wine tasting. Small groups (<15). Family and pet friendly. Languages: Italian, English. Wines to try: Mareneve white blend, Etna Rosso, Profumo di Vulcano Etna Rosso.
