Estate traces its origins to Pietro Patane, who returned to Sicily after fighting in WWI and laboring in Australian cane fields, settling on the family farm and palmento in Contrada Fossazza. Wines were initially sold locally in Vena and then in Riposto, passed through generations until vines and terraces were reorganized for greater efficiency and quality. The property includes a restored palmento, with production shifting from bulk wine sold at local markets to bottled wine.
